The client

Arty Fartsi

Arty Fartsi is a French creative brand built around an artist and his studio. The work covers drawing, painting and sculpture, and the studio itself is part of the story.

  1. 01How they came inA working artist with a lot of material and no consistent way of putting it out. The brief was a social media retainer, not a rebrand.
  2. 02What we took onRunning the feed. Pulling from what already exists, sketchbook pages, finished pieces, travel photographs, sessions with people in the room, and giving it a shape a stranger can follow.
  3. 03How it runsStudio footage does the heavy lifting. Spools of coloured cord on the wall, the tool board, a plaster bull's head, the two of them mid job. None of it is staged for the camera.
  4. 04Where it standsOngoing. The grid posts hold the archive together and the studio pieces keep the feed feeling like a real place rather than a portfolio.
The work

Social media design

A twelve tile grid that puts the range in one image: sketchbook studies, finished pieces, a life drawing session, a gallery hang and travel photographs, all sitting on the same warm paper background.

The studio on a working day is more interesting than anything we could set up.

Questions

Asked about this work

What is in scope?

Social media management. Content, posting and campaign pieces. The brand and the artwork are the client's own.

Where does the imagery come from?

Mostly the studio and the artist's own archive. We organise and treat it rather than shooting something new every month.

Why show the mess?

Because it is the differentiator. A tidy studio photograph could belong to anyone. The cord wall and the tool board could not.
