The client

Highlane

Highlane is a streetwear and loungewear label. Oversized hoodies, sweat sets, graphic tees, the sort of thing sold on how it looks worn rather than how it looks folded. The content is shot vertical and street-side, built for stories and reels first.

  1. 01How they came inA young clothing brand selling online, with a feed that had to do the job a shop window would do.
  2. 02What we took onSocial media and the shoot content behind it. Vertical formats, real locations, models in the clothes rather than product cutouts on white.
  3. 03How it runsDrops are shot as sets. The Lounge Collection went out as story frames with the drop message on top of the garment, so the post and the announcement are the same asset.
  4. 04Where it standsThe feed reads as one brand across colourways and seasons, and the drop content is ready before the drop rather than after it.

Questions

Asked about this work

Why is everything shot vertical?

Because that is where the brand sells. Stories and reels are the first place a drop gets seen, so the frame is built for that and cropped down afterwards if needed.

Is this product photography or content?

Content. The clothes are shot on people in real places, not on a white sweep, because that is what makes an oversized fit read correctly.

How are drops handled?

Shot in a set before launch, so the announcement, the story frames and the grid posts all come out of one session.
