The client

Popinjay Events

This is the website and search side of Kritika Purohit's event design business. We built and launched popinjayevents.com, folded the wedding work in as its own tab rather than running a second site, and fixed a Google listing that was telling everyone the business was temporarily closed.

  1. 01Get it live, then improve itThe site went live with the content that existed rather than waiting for perfect. Updates carried on afterwards.
  2. 02One brand, one siteWeddings became a tab on the same site instead of a separate build, so there is one domain to maintain and one place search can rank.
  3. 03Fix the listing firstGoogle My Business was showing the business as temporarily closed. Ownership was reclaimed and the working number added before any SEO spend went in.
  4. 04Hand them the toolsDomains renewed for the longest available term, and her team trained on the AI image tools so they can produce their own visuals between shoots.
The work

Campaigns and posters

Two pieces. A mood board that fixes the palette and the flowers before a build, and the neon sign made for a venue's second anniversary, shot lit inside the foliage it was set into.

An event lasts one night. The photographs are the only thing that has to last longer.

Questions

Asked about this work

What do you actually do for Popinjay?

Website design and social media, plus the campaign artwork and the photography that fills both.

Why start with a mood board?

Because the flowers, the palette and the props have to be agreed before anything is built. It is cheaper to change a board than a set.

Who shoots the events?

We do. The six frames on this page are our own photography of their finished installations.
