Roots
Roots is a natural personal care brand. The shoot covers its sarom line, hair oils, hair vitalisers, sprays and balms, photographed with the raw botanicals they are made from.
- 01How they came inThe products are quiet by design. Muted labels, plain bottles, nothing shouting on the shelf. That only works if the photography does the persuading.
- 02What we took onA full product photography set for the range, with behind the scenes footage from the same session.
- 03How it runsFlat lays on marble with dried botanicals scattered around the bottle, then wider tabletop setups with beakers of the raw oil beside the finished product, so you see what goes in and what comes out. Jars are shot on carved wood with fresh leaves. Daylight only, no hard studio lighting.
