Bowl Curry

Bowl Curry sells curry pastes and cooking products. We rebuilt how the Shopify store presents the range and produced the creatives behind their Amazon and performance campaigns.

  1. 01How they came inThe store listed products rather than sold them. Shreya's team came with a page by page list of what was not working.
  2. 02Home pageSliding banner copy rewritten, the bestseller block turned into Our Products with a way through to the rest, and new-product tags added to the images.
  3. 03Recipes and product pagesA proper recipe section, serving sizes, clickable video with the option to buy the product being used, plus testimonials, FAQs and a brand timeline on the about page.
  4. 04AdsRecipe videos and range banners built for Amazon and performance marketing, cut vertical and horizontal separately so nothing gets squashed by a resize, with static images used first on brand keyword campaigns.
The work

Photography

Six frames of the retail range. The Kashmiri kit on teal, once flat and once with palm shadow across the backdrop, the Rajasthani kit on deep maroon, and a pair of hands holding the Makhani kit next to the Tandoori marinade so the range reads as a set. Every pack detail stays legible, down to the region name in Devanagari and the spice rating.

Inside the project

In a market crowded with competitors, Bowl Curry stands out with a distinct advantage, a legacy of serving food at famous Indian events, since it's parent company is Munna Maharaj. We developed a responsive shopify website that reflects the legacy and quality behind BowlCurry. Traffic and engagement up sharply.

Questions

Asked about this work

What is in the range?

Curry cooking kits split by region. The packs shot here are Kashmiri, Rajasthani and Makhani, plus a Tandoori cooking marinade.

Why a different background colour per pack?

So each kit has its own identity on a shelf page while the shared orange and cream packaging keeps the range together.

Did MarketinCrew build the website too?

Yes. The site at bowlcurry.com uses this photography, so the shoot was planned around the layouts it had to fill.
