Malhar Tribes is a coastal diner on Marol Maroshi Road in Andheri East, Mumbai. Coastal plates, biryanis served in clay, appams on banana leaf, and live music through the week. One of its menus runs under the name Ye Re Saiba.
- 01How they came inTwo things fill a coastal diner and they pull in opposite directions. The food, which wants warm light and close crops, and the live music, which wants faces and dates. The feed had to carry both without looking like two accounts.
- 02What we took onThe social programme. Food-led posts and carousels, menu features, and the weekly live music artwork.
- 03How it runsFood is shot dark and warm, on the diner's own wood and copper, with a script and a serif over it. Music posts use a torn-paper stack, one artist photograph per band, with the night, the date and the start time beside each. The address and the reservation numbers sit at the foot of the music pieces so the post is the whole answer.
