Tafe: work by MarketinCrew
Tafe
Tafe is a terrace cafe. Its draw is the setting as much as the plate, paper lanterns, hanging umbrellas and shelves of jars, with live music through the week. We run the social content and shoot the space and the food.
- 01How they came inA cafe whose atmosphere is the product. That is hard to sell in a food photo, and the feed was only showing food.
- 02What we took onSocial content and photography, weighted towards the space rather than just the menu, plus artwork for the recurring live music slot.
- 03How it runsWe shoot the terrace and its details, the lantern ceiling, the umbrella canopy, the shelves, alongside the food, and let the room lead the grid. Campaign posts carry the live music schedule.
- 04Where it standsA content set that sells the place first, with the menu supporting it rather than carrying the whole feed.
Campaigns and posters
Artwork for the recurring live music slot, shot in the cafe's own warm evening light with the schedule stated plainly so regulars know when to turn up.
“People pick a cafe by the ceiling, not the menu. Shoot the ceiling.”
MarketinCrew
Photography
The terrace shot as the product: the lantern ceiling, the colour-blocked umbrella canopy, the shelves of jars and glassware. Food is in the set, but the room leads it.
Asked about this work
What does MarketinCrew produce for Tafe?
Social content, photography of the space and the food, and campaign artwork for the live music schedule.
Why does the photography focus on the space?
Because the terrace is why people come. The interiors give the account a look no menu photo could.
Is the live music promoted separately?
It runs as its own recurring campaign post with the days and start time carried on the artwork.
